Halloween

Well, Fall is here. I used to hate it when I was young because it meant the end of summer but now I love it because it's the start of the Holiday Season. Family parties, friend gatherings, & eventually skiing! I really love all the seasons!
On Halloween, Zac was sick so it wasn't too fun for him. We rarely get sick but this is a flu bug I am having a hard time getting rid of. I have some essential oils that are so great I won't ever be without them. We also take some supplements & in the last 4 years we haven't hand anything (cold, flu) that lasted more that 2 days. Zac tends to get it more because he doesn't take his vitamin drink unless we remember to make it for him. So between the drinks & oils, we don't go to the dr. unless it's an emergency. yay!
our latest emergency was Sami. She cut her leg with her ice skates. They're pretty sharp but luckily we we had them sharpened a while ago. She got 30 stitches on her leg. it was to the bone, she has a few gory pictures of it. but she will be fine to skate in her christmas program. Then, Cody was a match for a bone marrow donation and he went to San Francisco to be checked by the bone marrow Dr. & they found a heart condition so they took him off the donation list. we then went to our cardiologist here & ran some more tests, we're waiting for the last of those results.

Ramblin' On

I think I'll just ramble....

I had to make a decision this week & it was an interesting one for me. For the last few months, we've been planning on going somewhere for Christmas, I've been in my "mode" of planning, web surfing, calling, to get the info I needed. I love to plan things like trips & parties! So we decided to go to Southern Calfornia, mainly Disneyland for a week December 13th. I LOVE Disneyland (sometimes I think I love it more than my kids, except Zac)I booked the hotel, checked where to buy the tickets, where we would stay close to the beach, etc. Then i went to bed. Well I lay there thinking with a million things running through my head & started adding up the cost of things. For a week, to drive, with about 8 people, 2 cars (or a van rental) food, gas, churros at disneyland (you have to get those), various mickey stuff, the cost would be close to $5000. I got up in the morning & told Scott, we just can't do it. We actually could, but with things the way they are in the world, I just don't dare. Scott has been really busy this year with curbing, but some of his friends who are landscapers have not been busy & that worries me. SO I guess we'll just stay home & have a wonderful Christmas here. If I pushed it with Scott he would say yes, but this was all my decision not to go so I guess you could say I'm feeling very mixed feelings, I'm happy with myself that I could actually say "no" to Disneyland & I'm sad I'm not going & most importantly.... I'm feeling peaceful.

We went to Island Park, Idaho for a family reunion. We had a great time! On the way home we stopped in Yellowstone & Jackson Hole. It was perfect except Josh & Sami got lost on a dirt road coming home (because of my instructions, oops) & Tiff & Chris weren't there.....
We'll go again sometime~

~BARKFEST~

Here's an update on "Barkfest"! In case you didn't get the message, it's July 25th, 7pm at our house. We'll be serving pulled pork, turkey, & homemade root beer, if you could bring a salad, dessert, chips, veggies, etc. to go along with that, it would be great! We'll have something real fun for the kids to do, so come bring your blankets or chairs & remember we'll be listening & dancing to classic rock. Cody's having a dance contest, so get ready, you may even see tracy doin' the "bing"! but... if you're lookin for country music or soft rock, this ain't it....
hope to see you
